The Union Parish School Board is making progress in its quest for a quality education for all students.  Union Parish was the first district in Louisiana to offer interactive distance learning to all its school sites.  Through the use of I.P. -based video, instructors are able to teach classes at their home schools as well as students at schools miles away.  At the invitation of Governor Foster, Union Parish provided a representative on the State Technology Advisory Committee.

With the implementation of the state's accountability program and the national No Child Left Behind Act, the system has focused on improving test results in each academic area.  We have been able to post a significant gain in test scores.  The district is the recipient of a Federal Ear-marked Grant to be used for the implementation of an online testing  and remediation program using Plato Learning Network.  Future plans call for continued progress in achieving our goal of excellence.

Community support is a major factor in the success of our schools.  Each year local businesses sponsor many academic and athletic programs.  Clubs and organizations provide additional support by lending their time and talents.

Our greatest asset is a dedicated and caring professional staff.  We truly appreciate the opportunity to work with our most important resource, the children of Union Parish.

We welcome your interest in our schools.  Should you need any further information please feel free to contact us.
